Matt Lauer Plots Comeback With ‘Big TV Interview’ After #MeToo Disgrace

Disgraced former ‘Today’ show host Matt Lauer is reportedy plotting a comeback with a “big TV interview.”

As The New York Post reports:

Matt Lauer is angling for a “big TV interview” to be the next step in his return to the public eye.

After popping back into the news with a controversial op-ed deriding Ronan Farrow’s reportage in his bombshell book “Catch and Kill” — and getting a new tattoo — Lauer is “talking about doing a big TV interview,” Us Weekly is reporting.

The former “Today” anchor, 62, is angling to get on the air sooner rather than later, the magazine notes, citing another source who holds that Lauer’s friends are “trying to convince him to record the interview himself so he has edit control.”

Purportedly, the interview is timed not just to follow the op-ed, but also to capitalize on the empty TV studios that have become one hallmark of the coronavirus pandemic. “[With] no studio audience, it could be a less hostile venue,” Us Weekly’s source says.

Will Lauer’s attempted comeback work, or be an epic flop? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

When perverts become lauded and the flavor of the month we’ve really lost it as a nation of responsible parents and citizens.

Matt’s old office had a secret button to lock his victims in so his “ activities” would not be interrupted. His new office will have a secret button, but this one connected to an ejection seat which blows the roof off, him out of the building …landing outside via parachute where he walks away. This is his idea of personal change and growth.

Normally I’m all for second chances, but not for this narcissistic, scumbag a-hole. He’s just about the last person anyone would feel sympathy towards. Stick a fork in him….he’s done.

It’s a shame that we had to read the column to see which democrat you were talking about.

Matt the Monster deserves no more chances. NBC let him continue his abuse far too long. NBC should be begging for forgiveness.

I’m not sure anyone cares that much. IN these times of COVID celebrities are becoming less meaningful to most us because they are not very interesting to most of us.

“You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear !” Matt Lauer is not just “damaged goods,” but was defective from before the start – the start of the discovery of what he is ! (See comment from Grizzly Mann, above.)
