President Trump took a jab at Meghan Markle at a press conference after learning that she urged American voters to cast their ballots in support of Democratic nominee Joe Biden. He wished Prince Harry luck, “because he’s going to need it.”
A reporter asked for the President’s reaction to the Sussex’s sounding off about “the U.S. election and essentially encouraged people to vote for Joe Biden,” during a White House briefing on Wednesday.
The President’s reaction: “I’m not a fan of hers… and she probably has heard that… I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”
Reporter: "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chimed in on the U.S. election and essentially encouraging people to vote for Joe Biden. I wanted to get your reaction to that."

In the Time 100 video that the reporter was referring to, which was released on Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess urged voters to get to the polls on election day, but were perceived to be dissing the President with comments about “rejecting hate speech” and “online negativity.”
Markle, who is a U.S. citizen and vocal opposer of Trump, calling him both “divisive” and a “misogynist,” told viewers, “Every four years we are told the same thing, that this is the most important election of our lifetime. But this one is. When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter, because you do, and you deserve to be heard.”
Prince Harry, who noted he is ineligible to vote in the election said, “As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity. When the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our ability to have compassion and our ability to put ourself in someone else’s shoes.”
The prince also noted that as a royal, he has never voted in a U.K. election, as members of the royal family are to follow the Queen’s lead of remaining “strictly neutral with respect to political matters.”
Royal experts think the couple should give up their HRH titles if they want to be involved in U.S. politics. Buckingham Palace refused to comment on the video on the grounds that Prince Harry “is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity.”
Piers Morgan has no such qualms, “Prince Harry poking his woke nose into the US election and effectively telling Americans to vote against President Trump is completely unacceptable behavior for a member of the Royal Family.”
He says they’ve left the Queen without a choice, “She must strip them of their titles before they do even further damage.”
Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, wants the royal couple out of the country, “They made Britain great again by leaving, I hope they do the same for us.”
