Bravo unceremoniously removed four episode of its hit show ‘Southern Charm’ for having apparently containing scenes which were un-pc.

The decision comes in the wake of many other media companies making similar moves after protests over the death of George Floyd swept the country.

As The Daily Mail reports:

Bravo quietly took down several episodes of Southern Charm where the show’s cast members proudly showed off their family’s plantation grounds and laughed about not liking President Abraham Lincoln.

Four episodes in total were removed from Bravo’s app and online website, with the page saying the episodes were ‘currently unavailable’. The removed episodes aired between 2014 and 2016 and it is not clear when they were removed.

One of the episodes contains a scene where Thomas Ravenel, South Carolina’s disgraced former state treasurer, is out to eat with his father Arthur Ravenel, who proclaims he doesn’t like the $5 bill because President Lincoln is on the face of it…

The deleted episodes were first flagged by TikTok user thetalkofshame, highlighting the offensive clips. ‘This was aired! Primetime! Bravo!,’ she exclaimed.

History isn’t good or bad; it is what it is, as long as it’s true.

No true history comes out of Hollywood California anyway.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” – George Orwell, 1984
