The two Nigerian brothers who were allegedly paid by actor Jussie Smollett to carry out a fake hate crime against him have now finally agreed with prosecutors working the case.
As The Daily Mail reports:
The two brothers who Jussie Smollett allegedly paid to attack him last year have decided once again to cooperate with prosecutors in the ongoing case against him, a day after backing out.
Abel and Ola Osundairo had agreed to cooperate with the special prosecution of Smollett as it proceeds.
They told police he paid them $3,500 to carry out a fake, homophobic attack on him last January – something Smollett vehemently denies.
On Wednesday, Abel said they had changed their minds because the police department was still treating them as suspects.
It has been alleged that Smollett arraigned the fake attack in an attempt to get his bosses to pay him more in his acting job in ‘Empire.’

If found guilty of this crime, and it is in fact a crime to file a fake Police Report. He should be made to repay the cost of the hours of time it took to investigate his allegations and spend time in jail. If he is found guilty then the Chicago Police Department and the DA’s Office should start an investigation into the actions of the DA’s Office as to their handling of this case. At least form the outside looking in there seems to have been some improprieties and outside interference.

Filing a false report and taxing the police department’s manpower, resources, equipment, data, etc. to investigate the false allegation(s) is a crime in and of itself. Where I come from if you’re filing a false report re: a felony (bogus, false) then you could be charged with a felony. Here’s hoping Chicago has that particular statute, law on their books. Given that the two brothers agree to testify against Smollett suggests they’re wanting to tell all and call it a day. They seem to want to put all of this shat behind them. So let them…
Jussie Smollett needs to own up to and wholly account to his criminal behavior. The only criminal on the street that night was Smollett… looking for a bit of free publicity and some empathy from a cold, tired city stuck in the middle of a nasty winter storm. That given, Smollett determined that the show must go on. Even if he’s obviously lying he’s going to continue to lie. I mean, after all he makes a living out of reading and acting out fantasies, scripts, fiction…
Chicago, make an example out of Smollett. He’s cost you enough money and resources already, IMHO.
