ESPN Commentator Reveals he Roots Against NFL QB Josh Allen Because his Fans Are American Patriots

ESPN commentator and former NFL player Domonique Foxworth revealed why he roots against Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen: his fans are normal, patriotic Americans. Which, for Foxworth is apparently beyond the pale.

In particular, Foxworth believes that because Allen’s fans on social media frequently have dogs or American flags in their social media bios. Traits which apparently, at least for Foxworth, mark them as a fascist, a racist, or both.

As The Daily Wire reports:

“I am fully aware that I have biases,” Foxworth said Tuesday on ESPN podcast “The Right Time with Bomani Jones.”…

“And my biases are not based on Josh Allen. It’s based on the people that are defending Josh Allen,” he said. “I would be 100% lying if I said that when Josh does something dumb, a little part of me doesn’t get happy. And it’s not because I don’t want Josh to succeed.”

“It’s because the people who are telling me that Josh is the second coming and Josh is better than everybody are people with American flags and dogs and skulls and crossbones,” continued Foxworth. “… And then if you go just take a dip into their tweet history, it’s some really concerning retweets and likes.”

“It’s not about Josh,” he emphasized. ” … Generally, I’m pro-player and I’m looking for ways to understand a player’s position and defend a player. But in Josh’s case, it’s not about him. He is the ground on which we are fighting.”

Seems this guy is the perfect American: son of an Army Veteran, college grad, rich at 37, married, two kids and a veteran pro-footballer. Where did he stray. Apparently, he’s mixing a bit of envy with some ESPN and too much Harvard. He’s a smidgen of the reason professional athletic entertainment is doomed. I know the same doom awaits the arrival of college sports but until then, I’ll still follow my alma mater and ignore guys like this one.

Then fire his ass. His backers have nothing to do with Allen. This twit is just using it as an excuse to use his position as a platform to speak from.

My mother always told me I didn’t need to tell those within earshot everything that came into my mind. This Foxworth dude seems never to have heard such sound advice. Why don’t today’s sports announcers & commentators follow the great examples set by the Dodgers’ Vin Scully, the Packers’ Ray Scott, & the Celtics’ Johnny Most by sticking to the game & while on the job leaving their opinions on subjects both related & unrelated to sports forever unspoken (which is exactly where they belong).

He certainly would be if he commented like that against a black QB.

My thoughts exactly! He knows no one is gonna say a word to him and he still has his job. Couldn’t do that if you were white!

Too many hits to the head for this ex-player or maybe it was broken before the hits, either way he is illogical in his thinking.

ESPN the bastion of liberal insanity and denial of racial ambiguity, all pro sports is now the leftist platform for a false narrative.
