MLB Pitcher Felipe Vazquez Arrest For Soliciting Child

Pittsburg Pirates PItcher Felipe Vázquez has been arrested on charges of soliciting a child. As The Hill reports:

Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Felipe Vázquez was arrested on charges of soliciting a child, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested the 29-year-old athlete from Saint Cloud, Fla., for “one count of computer pornography — solicitation of a child and one count of providing obscene material to minors.”

Vázquez was taken into custody in Pittsburgh and Florida authorities, with the Pennsylvania State Police, served a search warrant on the player’s apartment.

The arrest comes after Florida official learned in August that Vázquez was allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old female who lives in Lee County, Fla.

Vasquez may eventually face additional charges once the investigation is fully completed.
