NBA Legend Charles Barkley Blasts ‘Defund The Police’ Movement

NBA legend Charles Barkley spoke out against the ‘defund the police’ movement advocated for by Democrat politicians and radical activists during an interview with CNN on Tuesday. As The Daily Wire reports:

Barkley, the avuncular former NBA star with the terrible golf swing, is weighing in on the “defund the police” movement now sweeping the most “progressive” (read: regressive) cities in the county.

And he’s not a fan.

“We need the cops, most of the cops do a fantastic job, but instead of defunding and all this other stuff, let’s just do police reform. Everybody should be on board for that whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, conservative or liberal,” Barkley said Tuesday on CNN.

After George Floyd’s death on Memorial Day, calls emerged to wipe out all police departments across the country. Barkley said we all – all of us Americans – feel terrible about Floyd’s tragic death.

While Barkley has felt confident enough to speak out against the ‘defund the police’ madness, how many other celebrities have simply stayed silent out of fear?

Charles Barkley has the unique ability to cut through all the BS and highlight the basic truth, he is right again but its too bad the lunatics that hate the country won’t simply agree with his most logical statement.

GREAT! I did that 10 years ago. Also candelled CNN, PMSNBC, and a few others by disconnecting the cable and satellite altogether.

Charles Barkley is a true patriot and a conservative Republican. He’s not the only one but he said before the run up to the election in 2016 that”Poor Blacks have been voting Democratic for 50 years and they’re STILL poor.”

Yeah, it’s too bad they are brainwashed by the Democratic Party, maybe they should just do some history digging and see how the Democratic Party always leans to keeping them down and filling them w/great promises speeches. The Republic Party want all to live well and prosper without all the crazy promises that to nothing but bureaucracies

Wow! It’s nice to see that somebody in the NBA (or any other sport for that matter) has brains and courage.

Kudos to Charles. Its a pity that there are not a lot more who realize that without law enforcement we have no real protection, security or peace of mind.

Although Mr. Barkley’s comments ring true, they do not fall in lign with Black Lives Matter and certenly do not fit into the narrative voiced by the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists and echoed by the media. Therefore in the words of Joe Biden, if you are not for him and the platform of the FAR Left Democratic Party He Ain’t Black.
Thank you Mr. Barkley for having the guts to speak the truth instead of taking the easy out and fall in line witht he rest of the soprts and entertainment world.

And, I thought that I could not like Charles Barkley more than I already did. I wish he could teach Greg Popovich a few lessons.

Well CNN finally realized they were creating a monster by totally leaning on Democrats programs. I am so surprised they let this positive and rational interview air.

1. Your family has been kidnapped and sold as slaves from Africa
2 over 200 years ago the North and South fought a war in America to abolish slavery. The North won.
3. Growing up with this as a black person is difficult. Good jobs are not available for black people. Not enough money to buy good clothes to present yourself for a good job. No money for right guard. Not a decent place to live.
4. The mother. Having many kids so the government check will be larger. The father. Gone. The mothèr has a difficult time trying to keep a roof under their heads and try to discipline the kids.
5.

Never cared for Sir Charles when he was playing; however, I’ve come to respect and appreciate him as a commentator.
