Mikal Smith, son of NFL Chicago Bears former head coach, Lovie Smith, has landed himself in hot water after being arrested in Tempe, Arizona in connection with a prostitution ring in a report from Yahoo Sports.
The unsettling charges include sex trafficking, conspiracy, and money laundering just to name a few.

According to a statement released from Arizona’s Attorney General, Mark Brnovich, Smith, and co-defendant Aprel Mae Rasmussen ran an illegal sex enterprise together.
The statement reads:
“Between December 2018 and September 2019, Smith and Rasmussen are accused of operating and maintaining an illegal prostitution enterprise. It is alleged that Smith and Rasmussen induced and encouraged an adult female victim to engage in acts of prostitution for over two months. Smith purportedly used constant surveillance and threats of retaliation to keep the victim under his control.”
Before becoming a pimp, the 43-year-old worked for the Chicago Bears as an assistant coach for four seasons under his father’s tenure as head coach. He then spent a season with the Cowboys. Smith later followed his father to Tampa where he served as a safeties coach for two seasons with the Buccaneers.
Lovie Smith left the NFL after being fired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 following a horrendous losing record after his first two seasons as head coach. He has since gone on to coach for the University of Illinois.
It’s hard to say where it all went wrong for ex-NFL coach, Mikal Smith, but it’s safe to say he won’t be coaching football anytime soon. Unless it’s in the jail yard that is. Sound off in the comments below.
