Trump Pardons Rapper Lil’ Wayne

Rapper Lil’ Wayne received a shocking last minute pardon from President Trump during the latter’s last fully day in office on Tuesday.

Wayne had been facing a potentially career ending prison sentence of up to 10-years in prison after he was caught carrying a loaded handgun between California and Florida.

Trump and Lil’Wayne had previously worked together on Trump’s Platinum Plan which was designed to economically help the black community.

As The Hill reports:

The 38-year-old performer revealed he had a “great meeting” with Trump in October, saying the two discussed the president’s proposed “Platinum Plan” to help the Black community. A photo of the pair, showing Trump giving a thumbs up next to the grinning rapper, raised eyebrows when Lil Wayne tweeted it following their face-to-face.

10 years in Federal prison for accidentally carrying an unloaded handgun on a plane? Bad idea, but 10 years? I never listened to Lil’ Wayne, but I’m glad he got a pardon. Too many people in prison.

Great news, although in general I don’t listen to rap. Indeed those idiotic laws restricting personal defense weapons are something, that must be abolished, anyway such laws are unconstitutional. President Trump upheld the spirit of the Constitution and anyone criticising him for that decision is clearly a tyrant and in this case a serious racist !
