View Co-host Whoopi Goldberg slammed Debra Messing for previously suggesting that Trump donors should be put on a blacklist. As The Hill reports:
“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg on Tuesday took aim at actress Debra Messing, saying that her suggestion to publicly identify the names of President Trump’s donors attending a fundraiser could lead to a “blacklist.”
During Tuesday’s show, Goldberg addressed Messing’s tweetencouraging the publication of the names of attendees at the president’s upcoming fundraiser in Beverly Hills during Emmys week, calling Messing’s desire to see Trump’s donors outed publicly dangerous.
“Listen, the last time people did this, people ended up killing themselves,” Goldberg told her audience.
“This is not a good idea, OK?” she continued. “Your idea of who you don’t want to work with is your personal business. Do not encourage people to print out lists because the next list that comes out, your name will be on and then people will be coming after you.”
