Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker caused a Twitter uproar when the team’s official account posted a photo of him wearing a yellow “Don’t Tread on Me” jacket as he arrived at TD Garden, prior to a Tuesday game against the Washington Wizards.
“The Boston Celtics posting a pic of Kemba walker in a neo-nazi jacket is so aggressively on-brand for that city,” posted a Twitter user. Another replied, “Kemba walker came to the game dressed in the racist snake flag. Somebody flagrant foul him real quick.”
The organization quickly deleted the photo of Walker from the official Celtics Twitter account.

The design originated prior to the American Revolution, when Christopher Gadsden, a South Carolina politician, created the yellow flag with a coiled snake on it, expanding on Benjamin Franklin’s 1754 drawing depicting eight American Colonies as parts of a snake, along with the phrase “Join, or Die.”
The Gadsden flag’s resurgence came with 2009’s conservative Tea Party movement, and was demonized by liberals as a symbol of racism and intolerance when it was flown alongside “Trump 2020” flags during the presidential election.
The flag has purportedly come to represent that the government is oppressive, and after it was used by Capitol riot protestors, has been deemed a racist symbol.
During a post-game press conference, reporters grilled Walker about the jacket. “Was there any message? No,” remarked Walker. “I’m kinda confused about the question.”
“People just noted it on social media,” a reporter tip-toed. “They just thought it was a cool jacket, I didn’t know, the ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ thing on the back, I didn’t know if there was anything to it, or just a fashion statement?”
But Walker wasn’t trying to make any statement, political or other. “I have no idea. The colors looked good, it went with my sneakers, that’s all,” Walker commented.

They trash this sacrifice and the sacrifice many others have done in service to our country. I no longer will go to a game in any sport or watch it on TV. I also no longer buy anything with their logo on it. That includes pro and college sports. I also try not to shop at any store that condone this attitude. Stick to selling sodas/flying airplanes/etc, just don’t count on selling any of it to me, because I don’t support “woke” fascists who think that their market share entitles them to tell me how to act or vote or think.” THEN quit buying their crap. I’m not sure why the left and this writer assume racism from a patriotic symbol of freedom. That flag represents the fight against oppression of big government and the fight for freedom which includes the fight AGAINST racism. This jacket does NOT symbolize racism of any kind. What it symbolizes is that here in the United States, if somebody has an issue with the way I look, the way I dress, my religious affiliation, or the fact that I don’t believe in exceeding the legal speed limit, then that individual had better not threaten me or put one hand on me or I shall smash him in the face with my cricket bat. The message on the jacket is MIND YOUR OWN EFFIN’ BUSINESS, KAREN. In fact, it is diametrically opposite to the concept of racism or white supremacy.
