Comedian Bill Burr, long known for his flirtations with conservativism, turned on GOP Governor Ron DeSantis over his stance against masks in the latter’s home state of Florida.

Stand-up comic Bill Burr is going viral after lambasting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over his recent anti-mask mandates, which were imposed despite the Sunshine State’s unprecedented spike in COVID-19 infections. The “F Is for Family” creator dropped the bombshell on his “Monday Morning Podcast.”
Speaking on the Republican’s possible 2024 presidential run, the 53-year-old funny guy fumed, “DeSantis, whoever this guy is — and they have the most grumpiest-looking photo ever — this guy is starting to build stature in 2024, and he says he disagrees on mask mandates.”
The “Breaking Bad” actor, who is known for trashing figures on both sides of the political aisle, said he found it “hilarious” that elected officials who don’t own a microscope or a pair of scrubs are “literally questioning doctors.”
“These f–king piece of s–t politicians,” Burr added. “He knows that that’s what his fanbase wants him to do, so that’s what the f–k he’s gonna do. Unbelievable.”

Burr is a great comedian. He needs to stay out of politics. The anti mask stance is more about our freedoms then a virus.Democrats use any reason to limit or get rid of our rights. The democrats end game is to put masks back on us and tell us we need mail in ballots for all because we are all in danger.That will be election b.s part 2. We have had viruses and flu in the past without government lockdowns and limits.And yes people do die each year from flu.
Well, if DeSantis does run for President in 2024, probably the most appropriate way to advertise his worth to Florida is showing graveyards of thousands of headstones of Floridians who died because they followed DeSantis’s advice. I don’t think Burr or any other comedian could make THAT funny.
Bill Burr ‘Whoever this guy is’ ? You aren’t deserving of attention until your do some real homework. Desantis has handled the plague of Covid better than any other Official. The Doctors ,whom you claim should rule,, are not in accord at all with mask mandates.. Only the false Fauci leads the insistence on Masks and the inoculation of young children.
Do your homework on Fauci history as well. It’s clearly a mess. .

Only N95 masks, properly fitted, are even marginally effective. Surgical masks are intended to stop release of droplets of mist from the wearer. They do NOT protect the wearer from inhalation of mist or naked viral particles sneaking in from outside. So if you are infected, sneezing, coughing, and whezing, then wear the mask. (Duh! If you are displaying THOSE symptoms, aren’t you supposed to be in quarintine?) As for the silly fabric face coverings, the space between fibers can be up to about 0.5 mm (0.0005 m) The size of a mist droplet can be less than a micron (~0.000001 m). That is around 500 times SMALLER than the space between the fibers. As for the naked viron, about 125 nm (0.000000125 m), the space is 4,000 greater than the size of the virus. This is like saying if the virus was the size of a soccer ball, the goal posts would be 3,000 feet apart. You may as well wear a goalie helmet with cage for all the good the masks will do.

Everytime I see Bill Burr I think it is going to be about William Barr. Neither one of them know anything. So, because of people like “scientist” and “doctor” FRAUDci I no longer believe in “science.”

Burr calls them as he sees them and that’s fine for a comedian. However, I’m no more inclined to get medical advice from a comedian as I am from a politician and, in this case, Burr is simply wrong. He’s entitled to his opinion and I’m entitled to take him to task for talking out his butt. THAT’S how “free speech” and the “exchange of ideas” is meant to work. Burr may not like DeSantis, but he’s not in New York where people like Cuomo and DeBlasio would be demanding jail time for challenging them.
