Country Legend Dolly Parton made a shocking admission during an interview on “Today with Hoda & Jenna”: she turned down an offer to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Trump…twice.
Parton claims she was unable to accept because her husband was ill and because of travel restrictions due to the Coronavirus.
And now she has been offered the medal by the Biden Administration, as Fox News reports:
“I couldn’t accept it because my husband was ill and then they asked me again about it and I wouldn’t travel because of the COVID,” she said.
Parton said she also heard from President Joe Biden about the award — the nation’s highest civilian honor.
“Now I feel like if I take it, I’ll be doing politics, so I’m not sure. “But I don’t work for those awards,” she remarked on the reported offer from Biden. “It’d be nice but I’m not sure that I even deserve it. But it’s a nice compliment for people to think that I might deserve it.”
Should Parton accept the award from Biden, or would that be, as she says: “playing politics.”

I agree that her turning down it fro the Republican president and excepting it from a democratic president would cause a rift between her and many of her fans as most of her followers are conservatives.
I find that President Trump offered you the reward because of your long standing in Country Music. I would never except from communist Biden, he has been so corrupt. I would never lower my long standing integrity for the moral standard what it means to an America.

I prefer to receive the award from. Crest president rather than from a liar, who has been a senator for.many years and never did Anything from someone who committed plagiarism, from semeome who raped a women with his grotesque fingers and lied. From someone who stole the election. Parton is not smart enough to make decisions and bc of her actions she is alienating her fans! I couldn’t care less. I don’t listen to her music!!
if I had my druthers, proof would be heard by the courts, actions would be taken and biden would be a part of sorry history.
She should not accept the award from the current man in the White House! He is not our President! He has cheated and lied and he is a crook!
