During a recent episode of her talk show, actress Drew Barrymore knelt down in front of transgender male-to-female activist Dylan Mulvaney. Mulvaney appeared on the show to discuss their popular TikTok series “Days of Girlhood,” which documented his transition process day by day. The moment was captured on video and circulated on Twitter, with some users criticizing Barrymore for “worshipping at the feet” of Mulvaney.
However, the constant propping up of Mulvaney is seen by many as strange, as he is anything but a disenfranchised person. Just recently, Mulvaney was invited to the White House for his transgender activism, and of course, used the opportunity to vlog about the experience. Mulvaney is one of many transgender activists to have been invited for stays at the White House under the Biden administration
Some Twitter users accused Mulvaney of appropriating and degrading womanhood by wearing a “#WomanFace.” Barrymore would go on to describe herself as a “huge fan” of Mulvaney. Mulvaney spoke about the importance of parents supporting their trans and queer children, of course, Barrymore chose to not request any further explanation on what “queer children” are, or why Mulvaney is attributing a sexual description to children.
“It’s interesting because I look at someone like you and I can’t imagine anybody disliking you,” Mulvaney said.
“Oh, please,” Barrymore answered, immediately following the decision to begin kneeling in front of Mulvaney. “Do you want to know, ironically, who dislikes me the most sometimes? Myself.”
Barrymore: “I think there’s also a way to be taught and educated, to open minds… And there are those that can, and I think you have that gift.”
“I think that trans and queer youth are some of the strongest humans alive,” Mulvaney responded to Barrymore. “The fact that they are pushing through to be themselves. But I think the parents are just as important. So I got to thank that mom, just for supporting their child and loving their child … Isn’t that a parent’s greatest hope?”
Barrymore added, “We don’t know what to do all the time … but the more we can be given the tools, and taught, and storytelling, the better parents we’ll be.”
Barrymore’s decision to kneel down in front of Mulvaney was met with criticism from some who saw it as a non-feminist action, as she appeared to be bowing down to a man rather than standing with her fellow women. The moment quickly spread on Twitter, with many expressing discomfort at the sight of Barrymore seemingly worshipping a man who simply dresses in traditionally female clothing and wears makeup.
Does Drew Barrymore not realize that she is literally on her hands and knees for a man?

While many women feel they have been held back due to their gender, Mulvaney is being celebrated by the media and political establishment solely for their attempt to appear as a woman and discuss the discrimination they face as a transgender woman. However, this celebration is unwarranted, as any true sexist would not deny Mulvaney from any opportunity, unlike a woman, as they would believe that any attribute they think a male would handle better, Mulvaney would also be able to accomplish.
Therefore, Mulvaney’s complaints about womanhood are void, as they have gained extreme fame solely due to their decision to present themselves as a woman. This is not a true representation of the discrimination that women face.

I’ve made so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Here’s what I do.
