Fox News star Dan Bongino will no longer be able to reach his 900,000 subscribers on YouTube, after he was banned from the platform on Wednesday.
“We terminated Dan Bongino’s channels for circumventing our Terms of Service by posting a video while there was an active strike and suspension associated with the account,” a YouTube spokesperson said.
“When a channel receives a strike, it is against our Terms of Service to post content or use another channel to circumvent the suspension.”
Bongino had two channels on the platform, and one of them was suspended on Jan. 14, for a video that declared masks were “useless” at stopping the spread of COVID-19.
According to YouTube’s policy, the video was in direct violation of a rule that prohibits denying the effectiveness of masks. The upload cost the conservative commentator a seven day suspension and removal from the service’s monetization program, which he would have been able to reapply for in 30 days.
The terms stipulated that Bongino would be suspended for a two-week period in the event of a second violation within a 90-day period, and permanently deleted if a third violation occurred.
Bongino’s team chose to upload another video on his secondary channel while his account was still suspended, as a result, he was permanently banned from the platform. “If a channel is terminated, the uploader is unable to use, own or create any other YouTube channels,” the company’s spokesperson remarked.
The “Bongino Report’s” Twitter account laughed off the consequences. “Hilarious watching the @YouTube communists desperately try to save face after we told them to go f%^* themselves,” the post read.
“They’re claiming we “tried to evade suspension.” Really? By posting a final video LITERALLY titled “Why I’m Leaving YouTube”?”
“Unfiltered” host released a video message later in the day. “They did it, the YouTube communists finally did it, they banned my account … For speaking scientific facts about masks and COVID treatments.”
“Facts, verifiable facts,” Bongino continued. “Proving my point … That Youtube is full of communist jerkwads who will do anything in their power to support their leftist gods.”
