The NFL is trying to get in bed with China and bowed down to the communist country by including the independent nation of Taiwan in a map of their territory.

The NFL announced a new initiative to grow the league internationally by granting 18 franchises in 8 countries the exclusive marketing rights to the teams designated to their territories.

“NFL fandom begins with our clubs,” said  NFL exec Christopher Halpin. “This important initiative enables  NFL teams to develop meaningful, direct relationships with NFL fans abroad, driving fan growth and avidity globally.

The league tweeted a map of the International Home Market Areas and their assigned teams, and when designating the Los Angeles Rams to China, included Taiwan in their border.

Taiwan became an independent country in the 1940s, but China still considers it theirs. The People’s Republic recently issued a threat to international companies that want to do business with the CCP, noting that the government “will never allow those that support Taiwan independence or damage cross-Straits relations to make money on the mainland.”

Critics have panned the NFL for rolling over to China’s demands over profit. “The NFL, which is chasing dollars from the Chinese Communist Party, shows Taiwan as part of China,” tweeted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). “Disgraceful cowardice”

“Hey @NFL, why are you depicting China and Taiwan as the same country? Do you not believe in the freedom of Taiwan? Stop shilling for the #CCP. It’s shameful to profit off the oppression of the Taiwanese people and the slavery of the Uyghurs,” Rep. Carlos A. Gimenez (R-Fla.) slammed

“The @NFL and @NBA can virtue signal about human rights all they want. Your words mean absolutely nothing if you’re too cowardly to put human rights above making money in China’s market,” wrote author Dan K. Eberhart.
