The Obamas’ lucrative 2018 Netflix deal has finally come to fruition with an animated series geared towards teaching children about the government and aims to be “an exuberant call to action.”
The ten-episode series, “We The People,” will feature three-minute animated music videos that will target “a new generation of young Americans,” and teach them civics lessons “about the power of the people.”
A range of liberal LBTQA+ friendly stars and musicians including H.E.R., Janelle Monáe, Brandi Carlile, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Adam Lambert, Cordae, Bebe Rexha, and Andra Day, contributed original songs to “remix” lessons about taxes and voting to make them palatable to young children.
The press release claims “We The People” is “an exuberant call to action for everyone to rethink civics as a living, breathing thing and to reframe their understanding of what government and citizenship mean in a modern world.” The show is reminiscent of “Schoolhouse Rock,” an animated series of short educational films released in the 1970s.
In one clip H.E.R. sings, “Pay attention so I know my rights, education’s gonna change the cycle.” In another, sexually fluid Bebe Rexha croons, “I am an American citizen, this ain’t just the place I’m living in, I’ve got rights like electing the president.” Lesbian country singer Brandi Carlile later exclaims that “No one can keep you form speaking your mind.”
Chris Nee, creator of kids hits “Vampirina” and Doc McStuffins” helms the series, which is executive produced by the Obamas, and will premiere on Netflix on July 4.

Parents need to keep their children from watching this trash, but many won’t.
Those who are trashing Netflix, you have to monitor what your children watch AND what you watch. I’ve seen some good shows on Netflix, but most of what is on TV and in the movies today is trash! There isn’t anything worth watching on the alphabet networks either.

I quit watching Netflix a long time ago, canceled when they hired the Obamas. Any parent who allow their children to view this trash will be just as responsible for any hate their children develop. And if any of their children happen to see the programs in school or via friends should take time to discuss it with it.
