We’re tracking the conservative culture clash with woke Hollywood hypocrites to keep you up to date on who’s winning and who we hate.

 Here’s what happened today:

Rescinded

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was stripped of his 2020 International Emmy Award as a result of the sexual harassment scandal that ended his political career.

“The International Academy announced today that in light of the New York Attorney General’s report, and  Andrew Cuomo’s subsequent resignation as Governor, it is rescinding his special 2020 International Emmy® Award,” the organization said in a statement.

Cuomo received the Founders Award for his 111 daily pandemic briefings, “in recognition of his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world.”

“His name and any reference to his receiving the award will be eliminated from International Academy materials going forward,” the statement concluded.

Cuomo’s 2018 Democratic primary challenger and “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon trolled him with a tweet:

Impossible Landing

“MIssion: Impossible” franchise star Tom Cruise landed his helicopter in the backyard of a family’s United Kingdom home.

The owner Allison Webb received a call that a “VIP who was running late” for a meeting needed somewhere to land because the local airport was closed, and Cruise was the VIP that came bounding out of the chopper when it touched down.

“He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much,” Webb explained. “Then he said if the kids would like they could go up in the helicopter.”

“It turned out to be an incredible day,” she said. “It was surreal, I still now can’t believe it happened.”

Censored

Hong Kong’s pro-China wants to start censoring films to curb ongoing freedom protests and “safeguard national security.”

New legislation proposes to regulate movies to battle “subversion, secessionism, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces,” by giving the government the power to yank licenses from flims that they deem “contrary to the interests of national security.”

“The main reference is the national security law … for instances, acts or activities which might endorse, support, glorify, encourage and incite such activities that might endanger national security,” said Edward Yau, Hong Kong’s commerce secretary.

Violators face a fine equivalent to $128,400 and up to three years in prison; the city’s legislative council will vote on the bill Wednesday.

Court Filing

Former “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar filed motions in court to dismiss the charges he faces for possession of child pornography that depicted the abuse of toddlers.

Duggar’s lawyers are trying to get the case tossed for the government’s alleged failure to preserve exculpatory evidence from devices they searched that belonged to three people who had access to the reality star’s used car lot.

One man who worked at the car lot reportedly said he watched pornography on his phone through the business’s wireless internet, and on occasion, stayed overnight at the office without Duggar’s knowledge.

The second motion argues that two acting secretaries of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security weren’t properly appointed at the time of Duggar’s arrest.

His lawyers are seeking to suppress the evidence in the case and to get the charges against him dropped.

Arrested

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Nicholas Brendon was arrested in Indiana on drug charges August 18. “The “Criminal Minds” alum was charged with prescription fraud of a controlled substance and for refusing to identify himself to authorities during the stop.

Brendon was pulled over for driving erratically, and was visibly nervous and sweating profusely while speaking to police. When asked for identification, he gave police a California ID for “Kelton Schultz,” who he claimed was the identity of his twin brother, Kelly Donovan Shultz.

A K-9 unit searched the car after authorities found a “small plastic bag that contained crystal/powder residue” and pills prescribed to “Nicholas Bender.” The dog found several more baggies with traces of residue and a prescription for amphetamine salts prescribed to Kelton Schultz.

Brendon, who has been arrested multiple times from 2015 to 2017, is due in court on December 2.

Lost Judgement

Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten tried to block bandmates from using their punk music in an upcoming Disney series titled “Pistol,” with a lawsuit he filed in the United Kingdom.

The lead singer was concerned that the show, which is based on guitarist Steve Jones’ memoir, would cast him “in a hostile and unflattering light.” The suit argued that the songs could not be licensed without his approval, but his other bandmates claimed that a 1998 agreement allowed use with a majority vote.

A judge ruled to uphold the majority decision agreement and will allow the show to use the band’s songs.

Hit

“Bachelorette” contestant Josh Tartick revealed he was hit by a car over the weekend while walking the two dogs he shares with his fiancée and former “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe.

“We get the [green light] to walk. We go to walk, and boom. A car comes flying in hot,” Tartick said in an Instagram video. “Sees us, hits the brakes and cranks me. Absolutely cranks me. It was a red light. The guy should’ve stopped and he blew through it and made a right-hand turn.”

Tartick said an “angel” must have been watching over them, but admitted he went off on the driver.

“I was so pissed, I slammed the hood. I had some choice words. The guy was apologetic,” Tartick said. “He stopped and was worried. I just took off. I’m like, ‘I’m out of here.’ I panicked.”

Both he and the dog were uninjured after the accident. “I’ve never been hit by a car before. Can check that off the list,” he said. “And thank God, thank God nothing happened to [Pinot]. And thank God all that happened to me was a little bruise. We are lucky boys.”

The Emmy people got it wrong-twice. They shouldn’t have rescinded the Emmy because Cuomo’s sexual conduct had nothing to do with the award in the first place. Being a sexual predator doesn’t mean you have no talent worhy of an Emmy. But they never should have given it to him in the first place. It was as unearned as Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize awarded before he took office. Giving an Emmy for Cuomo’s fantasy was a joke and ruined the award’s reputation for the foreseeable future.
