Interestingly enough Martin Luther King Jr. won a Grammy and as many know he was a pretty significant Republican figure. King won the award for a speech he gave in the 60s. It’s important to note that the Grammy’s don’t only give awards for music, they also give awards for speeches and spoken word pieces.
