Here’s How Donald Trump Will Handle ‘The Apprentice’ as President

Donald Trump took to Twitter to state where he stands on Celebrity Apprentice.

News broke on Thursday that the president-elect has retained his executive producer credit on the reality competition, one that will see him paid as a profit participant in the franchise. The announcement that Trump would maintain the title was met with sharp criticism, suggesting that it would be a conflict of interest for the president-elect to be involved in a primetime television show while trying to run the country.

Trump noted that although he has “a big stake in” the NBC reality competition, he “will devote zero time” to the show once he is sworn into office. He then went on to slam CNN for noting otherwise, calling such claims “fake news.”

“I have NOTHING to do with The Apprentice except for fact that I conceived it with Mark B & have a big stake in it. Will devote ZERO TIME!” he tweeted on Saturday morning. “Reports by CNN that I will be working on The Apprentice during my Presidency, even part time, are ridiculous & untrue – FAKE NEWS!”
