Michael Moore Is A No-Show In Court

Anti-Trump filmmaker Michael Moore is being sued by his wife for profits from his movies. A court date was set for Thursday but Moore decided not to show up.

According to Page Six:

Lefty documentary maker Michael Moore was a no-show at a Manhattan court hearing with his ex-wife Thursday— where she accused him of trying to cheat her out of profits from their decades-long filmmaking careers.

“He’s too busy to even be here. He’s not here today,” said Bonnie Rabin, attorney for Moore’s ex, fellow filmmaker Kathleen Glynn.

“Our client’s been trying to get the benefit of her bargain for five years and he just has millions of excuses,” Rabin told Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Franc Perry.

The pair divorced in 2014 after a 23-year marriage—and an even longer business relationship.

The ex-wife contents that Moore is not making good on their agreement. As a result of the divorce, she gave up rights to the films in exchange for 4 percent profit.
