After making headlines for her comments about accepting Donald Trump as president, Nicole Kidman says she was simply voicing her support of the democratic process.
In an interview with BBC last week, Kidman said that it was time for the country to accept Trump and move on.
“[Trump is] now elected and we, as a country, need to support whoever is the president,” the 49-year-old actress said. “That is what the country is based on. And however that happened, it happened, and let’s go.”
The Oscar-winning actress was born to two Australian parents, but holds dual citizenship in both Australia and the United States.
