Susan Sarandon: You Can’t Vote for Hillary Just Because You’re Afraid of Trump

Susan Sarandon has decided to throw her support behind Green Party candidate Jill Stein after saying she couldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton just out of “fear of Donald Trump.”

In a letter posted on Stein’s website on Tuesday, the actress listed all the reasons she could not vote for the Democratic presidential nominee that included her failure to “support a $15 minimum wage hike” and “the legalization of marijuana.”

“Dear Jill and team, I’ve been waiting for any indication that Hillary Clinton’s position on the issues that are most urgent to me, has changed,” Sarandon wrote. “But she does not support the $15 minimum wage. She shows no support for legalizing marijuana. She supports TPP.”

“She has sold fracking and Monsanto,” ” she added. “She supports offshore drilling. She has no position on the Dakota Access Pipeline. She opposes the labeling of GMOs. She opposes the breakup of big banks. She takes lobbyists’ money for campaigning. She opposes a binding climate treaty. She supports unconditional military aid to Israel.“
