Thursday Update: ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Reveals Reason For Exiting Show, U.S. Golfer Has No Regrets About Skipping Vaccine After Missing Olympics Due To Covid Diagnosis, Bill Gates Discusses Divorce And Epstein Association

We’re tracking the conservative culture clash with woke Hollywood hypocrites to keep you up to date on who’s winning and who we hate.

 Here’s what happened today:

Exit

Actor Christopher Meloni finally revealed the reason behind his unexpected departure from “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit after 12 seasons.

Meloni abruptly left the series in 2011, leaving fans and his longtime partner Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay, blindsided by the news that he retired during the season 13 premiere.

It’s long been rumored that his exit came over a contract dispute, which Meloni confirmed was true.

“My thought was: Instead of 22 episodes, bring me back for nine episodes, or bring me back for 18 episodes,” he said in an interview. “They literally came to me on a Thursday night and said, ‘This is the deal. We want the answer by tomorrow. It’s our way or no way.'”

His response to the tactic was “I don’t want to f–k around with you guys. This is what I want. If you can’t do it, that’s fine. Let’s figure out my exit.”

Spooked

Olympic riders complained that a life-sized sumo wrestler statue could have been responsible for spooking their horses during the Equestrian jumping qualifier on Tuesday.

A number of horses pulled up short of the 10th obstacle on the 14-jump course, which resulted in penalty points that led some riders to fail to advance out of the event.

“As you come around, you see a big guy’s ass,” said British rider Harry Charles. “I did notice four or five horses really taking a spook to that.”

“It is very realistic,” remarked Israeli rider Teddy Vlock. “It does look like a person, and that’s a little spooky. You know, horses don’t want to see a guy, like, looking intense next to a jump, looking like he’s ready to fight you.”

No Regrets

Professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau was booted from the Olympics after being infected with coronavirus towards the end of July, but doesn’t feel bad about passing up the vaccine.

“The vaccine doesn’t necessarily prevent it from happening,” DeChambeau remarked. “I’m young enough, I’d rather give it (the vaccine) to people who need it. I don’t need it. I’m a healthy, young individual that will continue to work on my health.”

The 27-year-old said that both his parents have been vaccinated, but he didn’t want to get the jab if it meant depriving another person of getting inoculated. He said he lost nearly ten pounds over the last two weeks from the sickness.

“Started getting fully better two or three days ago,” DeChambeau said. “For the most part, it’s funny, you stay at home and you quarantine for so long, you just feel tired. You’re not doing anything.”

Divorce

Microsoft founder Bill Gates spoke about his divorce from ex-wife Melinda and his regrets about associating with convicted sexual predator Jeffery Epstein.

“Definitely a very sad milestone,” he said of his finalized divorce. “Melinda is a great person and that partnership that we had coming to an end is a source of great personal sadness.” Noting that the former couple is still working together on their foundation.

When CNN host Anderson Cooper questioned him about Melinda’s concern about his relationship with Epstein, Gates detailed their involvement.

“I had several dinners with him hoping that what he said about getting billions of philanthropy for global health through contacts he had might emerge,” he commented. “When it looked like that wasn’t a real thing that relationship ended.”

Adding that their association “was a huge mistake to spend time with him and give him the credibility. I made a mistake.”

Cooper also asked if Gates had regrets about his workplace misbehavior. “Certainly everyone does [have regrets] but it’s a time of reflection, and at this point, I need to go forward,” he replied. “My work is very important to me, within the family we’ll heal as best we can and learn from what’s happening.”

Squatter

A New Hampshire man that had been illegally living in a cabin in the woods of a private property for nearly three decades was arrested for squatting on June 15th.

David Lidstone, 81, appeared in court on Wednesday, to fight being evicted by landowner Leonard Giles, who had no idea that Lindstone was living on his property until 2015. He now wants to tear down Lidstone’s solar panel-equipped cabin.

“You came with your guys, you arrested me, brought me in here, you’ve got all my possessions. You keep ’em,” Lidstone told the court “I’ll sit here with your uniform on until I rot, sir.”

The judge was empathetic to Lidstone’s plight but believes Giles has the final say on his property.

“You’re doing your own thing in the ‘Live Free or Die’ state, so there’s a lot of sympathy to you for that,” the judge said. “But there’s a lot of weight on the other side of the balance sheet, and not just about what the (landowner) wants to do with the land, but the weight I feel to uphold the judgment to the court and rule of law.”

Tour

Disgraced comedian Louis C.K., who was canceled during the #MeToo era for admitting to a variety of sexual misconduct claims in 2017, announced he’s making a comeback.

“I am writing to you today because I am going to be touring around the United States of America, performing stand-up comedy in theaters in several different cities,” he wrote in an email to fans on Wednesday.

He intends to tour the nation as long as COVID-19 restrictions permit. “Our intention is to do every show we can do,” he continued. “We will comply with the local governments of each city in terms of health standards and practices. Like everyone else, we will just do our best under the circumstances.”

“I’m really looking forward to seeing your faces as I tell some rather impolite jokes and stories,” the comedian concluded.

Homeless

Dr. Dre, who has such a high net worth that he was ordered to pay his ex-wife $300K a month in spousal support, is allowing his eldest daughter to live on the streets.

LaTanya Young, who works as a delivery driver, said she’s living out of her rented SUV while her four children are staying with friends.

“I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now — I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse,” Young said. “I’m trying to keep my head above water. I’ve been in debt for a while.”

She claimed the Beats by Dre multimillionaire stopped giving her money in January 2020. “His lawyer has said that my dad doesn’t want to help me because I’ve spoken about him in the press. I feel like I’m damned if I do, I’m damned if I don’t,” she remarked. “I’m just trying to communicate with him and see if he wants to talk to his grandkids.”

Recovering

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who has been a member of the band since 1963, is most likely going to miss their upcoming “No Filter” tour in the U.S., after getting an unspecified medical procedure.

“Charlie has had a procedure which was completely successful, but his doctors this week concluded that he now needs proper rest and recuperation,” the spokesperson said. “With rehearsals starting in a couple of weeks it’s very disappointing to say the least, but it’s also fair to say no one saw this coming.”

Watts was successfully treated for throat cancer in 2004.

“I am working hard to get fully fit but I have today accepted on the advice of the experts that this will take a while,” Watts told fans. “After all the fans’ suffering caused by Covid I really do not want the many RS fans who have been holding tickets for this Tour to be disappointed by another postponement or cancellation. I have therefore asked my great friend Steve Jordan to stand in for me.”

Threatened

“Basic Instinct” star Sharon Stone said her latest acting job is “being threatened” after she requested that the entire crew be vaccinated.

“I’ve been offered a job — a good job, a job I really want to do in Atlanta,” Stone alleged. “That’s why my hair is standing on end … because the Producers Guild of America will not guarantee that everyone on our show is vaccinated before I go to work.”

She thinks it’s “ridiculous” that she should have to work in an unsafe environment. “Will I go to work before everyone on my show is vaccinated? No. No, I won’t,” she argued. “Am I being threatened that I will lose my job? Yes. Yes I am.”

“Will I lose my job if everyone is not vaccinated on my show? Yes. Yes I could. Will I stand up for all of us so that every set that we go on is vaccinated? Yes. Yes, I will,” Stone continued. “Why? Because that’s ridiculous … that we should have to go to work where we are not safe to work.”

The PERFECT response to a whiny, entitled, and, apparently, poorly informed actress best known for an ad libbed crotch shot. The only question remaining, Allen, is why your comment doesn’t have at least 1,000 “Likes”.

If Sharon Stone doesn’t understand 0.015% mortality rate odds then she is an ignorant, spoiled loser.

She’s making this decision out of fear. She’s using this as a weapon to control others.

Well Stone you would rather the unvaccinated lose their jobs because you are so important. They should find another actress who cares about everyone working and who do not play favorites.

Why do all these people in the public eye feel the need to make stipulations that everyone else around them be vaccinated. If they’re vaccinated themselves, and the vaccine “works” they should be fine, or am I missing something here.
