Jenna Bush Hager Apologizes for Golden Globes Red Carpet Flub
Jenna Bush Hager is sorry for flubbing the names of films “Fences” and “Hidden Figures.”

While conducting interviews on Sunday’s Golden Globes red carpet, Bush Hager sent the Internet into a tizzy when she said to Pharrell Williams, “So, you’re nominated for ‘Hidden Fences.’” (The singer-songwriter was actually nominated for “Hidden Figures”). Later in the evening, presenter Michael Keaton made the same title-combination mistake from the Globes stage.

On Monday morning’s episode of the “Today” show, a choked-up Bush Hager offered a sincere apology for her live-TV error, saying, “If I offended people, I am deeply sorry. It was a mistake because as y’all know I’m not perfect. What I didn’t want to do is make anybody feel lesser than what they are.”

She called both pictures, which she’s seen, “brilliant.”
