TV Host Exposes Fake News

TV host Mike Rowe shared a video over the weekend exposing a hilarious fake news gaffe. The video involves a reporter for the Weather Channel having more trouble with the wind from the hurricane than he should have.

According to The Daily Wire:

Mike Rowe doesn't usually share viral videos, but over the weekend he felt compelled to make an exception because, as he puts it, "we have an example of fake news so perfectly personified I can't help but bring it your attention."

The fake news is the viral clip of a Weather Channel stormcaster barely able to stand among the battering winds of Hurricane Florence. The only problem are the folks in shorts casually walking by in the background, clearly unbothered by the "gale-force winds," that the cameraman failed to keep out of frame while the brave talent with the mic risked his life for the viewers.

The "Gale-Farce Winds" video, Rowe says in a Facebook post Saturday, exemplifies a much larger problem.

"Typically, I don't share videos that have already been viewed millions of times. Feels like old news," he begins. "But old news is better than fake news, and here, we have an example of fake news so perfectly personified I can't help but bring it to your attention."

Mike Rowe is clearly having fun here while exposing a bigger issue that is pervasive in society, especially the news that we consume.
