On Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice, we sadly had to say goodbye to a couple more contestants as the final eight were revealed — but not before an AH-Mazingly star-studded performance!

As you may recall, Donda West passed away on November 10, 2007, a day after receiving several cosmetic surgeries. The A-lister’s momma’s funeral didn’t take place until November 20. In fact, the All Day artist’s canceled show at The Forum in El Lay just happened to fall on the anniversary of Miz West’s funeral. Dang.

So it can’t be a coincidence that ‘Ye called off the rest of his Saint Pablo tour shortly after this anniversary. According to TMZ, West never properly dealt with the passing of his mother and has always struggled around this time of year. In case you forgot, Kanye’s controversial face off against Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAswas fueled by his immense grief over Donda’s death.
