Celebrities are headed to Washington, D.C. to attend protests against President-elect Donald Trump.
On Monday, organizers released a statement about the event titled the Women’s March that will include performers like Scarlett Johansson, Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler, American Ferrera, Cher, Katy Perry and others and will take place the day after Trump is sworn-in as the 45th president of the United States.
“Since the election, so many fear that their voices will go unheard,” Ferrara said. “As artists, women, and most importantly dedicated Americans, it is critical that we stand together in solidarity for the protection, dignity and rights of our communities.”
Johansson has said she will attend the march so she can “make my voice heard and stand up for what I believe in” when it comes to reproductive rights, according to another report.
