Fox News’ RED HOT Winning Streak

Fox News Channel finished the week of July 10-16 as the most-watched basic cable network among total day viewers for the 28th straight week, averaging 1.23 million viewers.

Rupert Murdoch’s news network also won the primetime crown, averaging 2.1 million viewers from 8-11 p.m., compared to 1.7 million for second-placed MSNBC. ESPN averaged 1.6 million primetime viewers, while HGTV averaged 1.5 million and USA averaged 1.4 million to round out the top five.

Among total day, Nickelodeon averaged 1.22 million to narrowly fall to Fox News. No other networks surpassed the one million-viewer plateau, as MSNBC averaged 932,000 to finished third. HGTV and Adult Swim round out the top five among total day viewers.

Cable news rival CNN finished No. 12 in primetime, averaging 892,000 viewers from 8-11 p.m., and No. 10 in total day, averaging 664,000 viewers. MSNBC has now beaten CNN for 25 straight weeks in primetime and 21 consecutive weeks overall.
