Actress Joins Boycott List of Famous Director

Another actress has joined the growing list of celebs who have vowed not to work with famous director Woody Allen.

According to Page Six:

Freida Pinto has joined the growing list of actors who have vowed to not work with Woody Allen again.

“No. Absolutely not,” Pinto told the Guardian in an interview published on Sunday. “I wouldn’t work with him because I’m in solidarity with women who have come out with their stories, whether they are proven or not. I’m just going to stick to what my gut instinct tells me.”

The actress, who played Dia in Allen’s 2010 “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger,” added, “I’m 34 years old, I’ve worked for 11 years in this industry, I’m not desperate and I will never be desperate.”

Allen has long been accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow in 1992 when she was 7 years old — allegations that came to light again a few years ago after Farrow penned a piece in the New York Times. The 83-year-old director has repeatedly denied the claims and was not charged. Then, in December 2018, actress and model Babi Christina Engelhardt, now 59, claimed she had an eight-year affair with Allen beginning when she was just 16 years old.

Although the boycott list is continuing to grow many celebrities have come out in support of the director and stated they would work with him.
