Brett Favre Refuses To Condemn Anthem Kneelers

Former Green Bay Packers Legend Brett Favre refused to condemn players who kneel for the national anthem in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement during a recent interview with USA Today.

When pressed Favre claimed that ultimately there was ‘no right answer’ to the kneeling controversy.

As The Daily Wire reports:

“I know from being in an NFL locker room for 20 years, regardless of race, background, money you grew up with, we were all brothers it didn’t matter,” Favre said on Monday. “Guys got along great. Will that be the same (with kneeling scenario)? I don’t know. If one guy chooses to stand for his cause and another guy chooses to kneel for his cause, is one right and the other wrong? I don’t believe so. We tend to be fixed on highs.”

Favre added that, as a white man, it was not his place to judge the protests of black NFL players.

“I don’t know what it’s like to be Black. It’s not for me to say what’s right and what’s wrong. I do know we should all be treated equal. If you can’t do that, you shouldn’t be in America,” he asserted.

“There’s no right answer,” he added. “Other than, the right answer is that we all get along. It seems like the more people try the more damage is done.”

Too bad Brett won’t chastised the players for kneeling during the National Anthem. The color of one’s skin has nothing to do with respecting the flag.

The news about Favre lately has not been good, under investigation for some business deals and now this about the anthem. Dont know what his motivation is. Perhaps there’s an economic motive, like Lebron James refusing to defend Hong Kong patriots or criticize the Chinese government for its barbaric human rights abuses because it could hurt the sale of his sports clothing in China. A little hypocrisy here and there!!

Team spirit is one thing… having buddies is also one thing… but anti-American behavior is NOT supposed to be a thing. He needs to get his priorities straight… is he more loyal to a bunch of bellyachers or his country?

You mean the cause of kneeling because the National Anthem is being played and you Brett Favre thinks that this country is bad and racist. Why kneel during anthem. Why not a separate moment of silence after the national anthem or after the coin toss to bring attention to BLM or the people who have died????? As the Kapernack says The kneeling is about the flag thats why WE think it is an attack and an afront to the USA and its veterans. Brett you and all the NFL can Kiss my A__!!!!!

Everyone……stop supporting these sports & the players. See how long it takes for them to ”get it”! We can flex our muscle with our pocketbook!

Just one more reason not to watch ANY sports. I would rather go to a high school football game and watch people play because they want to and not for some over inflated pay check.

High school football is the best anyway! They’re playing for the sport and the team spirit (and the girls?)… not the money.

I don’t go to the games, and never watch them on TV anymore, but I think they’re already doing that so they won’t have to worry about offending the fans. I doubt they’re willing to give up their fan base, and they know there’s a lot of them who take offense when those stupid anti-American racist jocks take a knee.

What an idiot! Disrespecting our country, our flag, and our military sacrifice has absolutely nothing to do with racism.

Favre is just plain W R O N G………….
Kneeling during the anthem is NOT a protest. It is a slap-in-the-face against those who respect American traditions…… its purpose is to separate American citizens one from another….. AND IT IS INTENTIONAL

If “we’re all one team” then the issue is NOT “white men judging black men” but Americans judging the behavior of Americans. As a ‘Nam vet, I judge those kneeling as insulting to me, my fellow vets and my country. When Goodell decided to put the NFL solidly behind the leftists in our current culture wars he tore a piece of the fabric of my country. after 60 years as a fan, I stopped watching and got rid of all my team gear. Something that used to be fun no longer is and never will be again. I’m quite disappointed in Brett who I used to like and for whom I had a modicum of respect. I feel about him now much as the Green Bay fans articulated when he showed up in a Vikings uniform.

There is one correct answer to this nonsense indeed: do not buy tickets or watch the games and consciously boycott those, who advertise during the games. The “cancel” system works beautifully as soon as those prima donnas of football notice a sharp reduction on income or even get laid off…

thanks for being spineless ,comrade Favre. Remember Football is a GREAT
AMERICAN Sport. And the black race has made its greatest inroads into the American Consciousness through sports. Magic has invested in poor black neighborhoods . With time and money. Has Le Bron done that? I remember when Michael Jordan’s father was killed by hoodlum black youths.. Instead of opening some gyms for kids, He bought himself a baseball team. Kneeling against our flag? by a spoiled kid who was adopted by a supportive mixed color family in the greatest country in the world? That’s his response to his good fortune? BAH!
