He made this announcement through a statement posted on social media, where he also mentioned the cancellation of a planned show in Charleston, South Carolina. Buffett explained that he had a change of plans and stopped in Boston for a check-up after returning from the Bahamas, which led to his hospitalization.

Buffett reassured his fans that he will return to performing once he recovers, despite the difficulties of aging, Buffett said that growing old is for “sissies,” showing that he doesn’t intend on slowing down any time soon despite requiring medical attention. Buffett was returning from a trip to the Bahamas when he stopped in Boston for a “check-up,” he said, after which he was hospitalized.

“Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you. I also will promise you that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I’ll be doing in the land of She-Crab soup,” Buffett added, ending his post with the reassurance “just remember, NOT YET!”

Buffett’s social media team took to Twitter to announce the rescheduling of the Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band concert. They also shared a message from Buffett himself, stating:

“The Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band concert at Credit One Stadium in Charleston scheduled for this Saturday May 20th is being rescheduled. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be emailed to ticket purchasers directly.”
