The Best Celebrity Reactions To Biden’s “Unity” Speech

President Joe Biden claimed he wanted to unite the country, but instead labeled Republicans as “extremists” who are “a threat” to the country.

“Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal,” Biden accused during his Thursday address. “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.”

“There’s no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans. And that is a threat to this country,” he continued.. “MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path.”

Celebrities from both sides of the aisle had completely opposite takes on Biden’s remarks. 

Conservative country star John Rich commented on the ominous red lighting that backlit the President’s podium.  What’s up with the blood red background? It’s like Joe is standing in front of the gates of hell,” he wrote. In a follow-up tweet Rich added, “I could almost smell the [sulfur].”

 Fox News anchor Tomi Lahren remarked that Biden “thinks “MAGA Republicans” is an insult. Wrong again, Brandon. We are proud and you’re about to see what that looks like in November.”

Simpering liberal “Stand By Me” director Rob Reiner lauded Biden. “So grateful to have a President who speaks the Truth. A President who deeply cares about the preservation of our 246 years of Democratic Self Rule,” he wrote.

When House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy attacked the president for choosing to divide, deman, and disparage” Americans who disagree with his politics, “Young Adult” star Patton Oswalt shot back, “I’m with you, Kevin.
