Oscar winning actor Matthew McConaughey hinted, in an interview with Hugh Hewitt, that he may consider running to be Governor of Texas.

Though he didn’t discuss which party’s nomination he would seek, McConaughey has seemed to tilt conservative in the past.

As NBCDFW reports:

Matthew McConaughey said on Tuesday that he would consider trying his hand at a career in politics by running for Governor of Texas.

The Texas native sat down with Hugh Hewitt on “The Hugh Hewitt Show” for an interview about “Greenlights,” his best-selling book.

“I don’t know. I mean, that wouldn’t be up to me. It would be up to the people more than it would me,” McConaughey told Hewitt. “I would say this: Look, politics seems to be a broken business to me right now. And when politics redefines its purpose, I could be a hell of a lot more interested.”

McConaughey talked about his goals and ideas concerning American politics, saying, “I want to get behind personal values to rebind our social contracts with each other as Americans, as people again.”

Matthew McConaughey is NOT a conservative nor a republican and don’t let him sell you the lie that he is. The media may attempt to show him “acting” like he is one, don’t fall for it.
Matthew McConaughey might be called a never trumper or a communist democrat, but he is not and never will be conservative or republican till he stops supporting BLM and Antifa and all those communist democrats he supports, especially the politicians in California.
Don’t forget, this man made a big deal of singing , ” I will survive Trump”, along with other Hollywood types.

I suspect he would try to position himself as a moderate Democrat.

No economics background. Has never created jobs. No military background. So he’s supposed to be qualified because he FEELS like trying this? No way. Texas you will pay dearly.Democrats have been wanting to take your state forever. Don’t you hand it over to some actor pretending to be a Conservative.
