Nick Cannon Fired Over Anti-Semitism

Actor, TV Host, and Musician Nick Cannon has been released by ViacomCBS following anti-semitic comments he made on his podcast “Cannon’s Class”.

In the episode, Cannon reportedly agreed with guest Professor Griff of the rap group Public Enemy that Jews were “wicked”.

He also said that “Semitic people are black people” and inferred you can’t be anti-Semitic if you are black.

According to National Review, the transgressions didn’t end there:

Cannon also referenced anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about “the Rothschilds, centralized banking, the 13 families, the bloodlines that control everything even outside of America.”

He later goes on to say that people who lack melanin are “a little less,” adding that those without dark skin have a “deficiency” that historically forced them to act out of fear and commit acts of violence to survive.

“They had to be savages,” Cannon said, adding that he was referring to “Jewish people, white people, Europeans,” among others.

Cannon responded and said he has “no hate in my heart”:

“Anyone who knows me knows that I have no hate in my heart nor malice intentions. I do not condone hate speech nor the spread of hateful rhetoric. We are living in a time when it is more important than ever to promote unity and understanding.”

“Until then, I hold myself accountable for this moment and take full responsibility because My intentions are only to show that as a beautiful human species we have way more commonalities than differences, So let’s embrace those as well as each other. We All Family!”

Following his firing, Cannon put out a lengthy statement on his Facebook page demanding ViacomCBS give him “full ownership of my billion dollar “Wild ‘N Out” brand that I created” in addition to an apology from the company.

Cannon’s most notable TV jobs include hosting Wild N’ Out on MTV which ran for 8 seasons, Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon on NBC, and America’s Got Talent.

He currently host’s Nick Cannon Radio on Power 106 in Los Angeles.

who?

Seriously, I have never heard of this person.

Decades ago there was a TV Series named Cannon, but I doubt either is/was a real character.

Just all make-believe.

Poor Nick Cannon is pretty mixed up. Original the term “Semitic” was used to refer to anyone who was Jewish, Hebrew, from Syria, and Arabic peoples. To claim that ONLY BLACKS can be “Semitic” shows a gross lack of intelligence on his part!! Sorry Nick, but you are wrong. Own up to it!!

He just proved that blacks CAN be racists. Bigots etc. But unlike Mr Cannon, who lumps all whites and lumps all Jews into his stereotypes, most rational people don’t do that.

This almost a verbatim about melanin deficient whites made by the founders of Black Lives Matter. Yes there is racism and they are a big part of promoting their own brand whiles acting like victims. We see the hatred in BLM as well as against Jews in NYC.

What goofy idiots some famous people can become. I guess his humongous ego has transported him into some never never land where he can “pretend” that the world and white people are exactly like he says. Wake up fool…..you are not as smart as you think…..and the love you have in your heart??? If that is love I would like to see what hate looks like….

Uninformed, low-class, ignorant: Cannon.

It is okay for a Black man to speak HATE speech against other Races but a White man cannot do it at all. This is double standards at it’s best and anyone who agree’s with Cannon is a racist.

I support Nick Cannon’s right to speak his mind, just like I support everyone to speak their opinions, they do not hurt anyone! Whether it be a member of the KKK (not many left, btw) or a member of Black Lives Matters, or an athlete or the President to the average person on the street, all deserve the right to say whatever they want to.

What is this fascination with pretending to be upset by what someone says as their opinion? If you let people talk and what they say is idiotic then you have been blessed to learn that fact without wasting time in investing in anything else they have said. In this day and age of cultivated personalities it is great to actually know what people think. Nick Cannon is not too bright based on these comments but I would rather hear them rather than have him out there pursuing these ideas as reality, the more the truth comes out the better we will all be.

I have no problems hearing opinions and ideas from all sides, I am not threatened in the least as long as they are not espousing violence against me. How will Nick Cannon every learn the truth from where he is right now if he is ostracized forever for some conception he may have wrong? Someone being ignorant or misinformed should not get the death sentence for those issues, they should be engaged in dialogue to understand where those ideas came from and if you are capable of responding to convey your point to him intelligently maybe he will listen, or maybe he won’t, but him saying what he thinks does not injure anyone.

I agree with you that he has every right to say what he wants. I am not offended but I am shocked to find out he hates Jews, white people and just about anybody who isn’t black. The references are demeaning and inaccurate but everyone has a right to be a moron. I don’t even think that he should have been fired, but I am disappointed to find out how he feels and that he is a racist. Does it hurt me in any way? No. But I really don’t care to see him again. That is my right.

Never heard of this guy. Comments pretty “tacky”, and inflamatory. CAN YOU imagine the “ruckus” if someone said all those things about blacks or Latinos?

I guess he’ll never work again. Does he even know that the vast majority of Hollywood’s producers and managers directors are Jewish? Well, it was a very mediocre career while it lasted.
