‘Kill Bill’s’ Quentin Tarantino Knocks Hollywood: ‘Ideology Trumps Art’

“Pulp Fiction” director Quentin Tarantino blasted Tinseltown for pandering to progressives instead of entertaining like they’re supposed to.

On a recent “Real Time with Bill Maher” appearance, the host asked the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” director about an encounter he had at the Cannes film festival in 2019, when a reporter criticized him for Margot Robbie’s lack of lines in the movie.

“I’ve always really appreciated the way you’ve pushed back when everyone’s tried to stifle you, shut you up, shame you, bully you, corral your artistic license — they tried it with the last one, with ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ some bullsh** about Margot Robbie doesn’t have enough lines,” Maher remarked. “You do what I wish other people would do: instead of apologizing like a little pu*** you say, ‘I don’t agree with your assessment.’ What’s so hard about that?”

The “Reservoir Dogs” director responded that political messaging was more important than making entertaining movies in Hollywood.

“There has become a thing that’s gone on, especially in this last year, where ideology is more important than art,” Tarantino said. “Way more. Certainly to the awards,” Maher concurred.

“Ideology trumps art. Ideology trumps individual effort. Ideology trumps good. Ideology trumps entertaining,” Tarantino remarked to a raucous amount of audience applause.

Maher said there were only two types of movies made in the industry, superhero movies and virtue signalers. Tarantino concurred but doesn’t think the woke state of Hollywood will be permanent.

“Just looking at the ’40s, even though it was wartime, that was also when you had film noir. Even with the Hays Code! You had these dark, dark stories being told,” he concluded.

Hollywood has not found me even knowing most of it’s “personalities” for years. What Hollywood has produced over the last 50+ years has gone steadily downhill to the point their output is totally trash, even Disney isn’t worth a hoot anymore. I only watch and buy movies almost exclusively made before 1970, with the most from the 1930’s through the 1950’s.

If Hollyweird wants to stay relevant, they should and need to stick to memorizing lines and playing make believe. People are fed up with their agenda. Most if not all are uneducated morons and bitches that have been through the casting couch.

Notice how Quentin says “Ideology trumps art. Ideology trumps effort Ideology trumps good. Ideology trumps entertaining.” The thing is, it is the “Trump” effect that Tarantino misses when he speaks to what the left in this country are really about. The left will eat their own when it comes to it, they always do. In their quest for “perfect” they find no “good.”
