Caught

Former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer issued an apology after being caught screaming and shoving one of the high school football players he coaches in a viral video.

Differ, the head coach of Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn., was recorded shouting in tight end Beau Dawson face and grabbing him by the shoulder pads.

“First and foremost, I take full responsibility as the head coach and leader of our team for not deescalating an emotional situation with one of our players, Beau Dawson,” Dilfer apologized in a statement. “Beau is one of our finest student-athletes and embodies all the characteristics we are looking for in our Mustang players.”

“During a moment of frustration in an attempt to get our team to play with more discipline, I unfairly singled Beau out,” he continued. “Somehow Beau Dawson has been portrayed publicly as the culprit in this situation, when in reality I should have been a better leader and shown greater wisdom and discernment in how I handled this incident.”

Trial

A man that singer R. Kelly abused when he was a 17-year-old testified against him in his federal racketeering and sex trafficking case on Monday.

The victim, who went by the pseudonym “Louis” on the stand, said he offered to do “anything” Kelly needed in exchange for jump-starting his singing career.

When the then teen offered to carry Kelly’s bags, the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer said “that’s not it,” then dropped to his knees, and performed oral sex on him.

Louis also recalled another incident when he was at the musician’s mansion and Kelly snapped his fingers to summon a naked girl hiding under his boxing ring, then had her perform oral sex on both of them.

Louis was on the stand as part of a cooperation agreement, after he pleaded guilty to attempting to bribe the girl to keep her from testifying against Kelly.

Afghanistan

A guitarist who has played with the Beach Boys and Guns N’ Roses abandoned his rockstar lifestyle to create a “School of Rock” like experience for kids in Kabul “who have no idea what the ‘School of Rock’ is.”

“I wanted the coolest, biggest rock band in the world,” Larry Cordola, 60, remarked. “But it would be centered around war-torn poverty stricken kids.”

Now that Afghans are in peril, he has been trying to get his female students out of the country. “I focused on the girls because boys were not getting threatened to be married off at 14,” he noted.

He’s been trying to help them escape from his post in Islamabad, Pakistan, but his attempts have fallen through.

“I had five girls ready to go today.” Cordola said on Friday. “A billionaire guy had a plane for 300 people and [four students plus a translator] were set to be on it. They were going to go into the airport through a back entrance and needed to climb walls. It was a covert operation. I didn’t even know where the plane would be landing.”

“Now the girls are back home with their parents,” he continued. “They have to stay low-key. I told them to smash their guitars, but the girls don’t listen to me so much. I think [the guitars] are hidden for now.”

Affair

83-year-old Diana de Vegh admitted to being John F. Kennedy’s mistress after keeping the secret for 63 years.

According to de Vegh, she met JFK during his 1958 senatorial re-election campaign speech in a Boston ballroom, when he told her date to get up “so a tired old man can sit next to a pretty girl.”

De Vegh was a college junior and JFK was a 40-year-old married man at the time, she said they slept together on and off for the next four years.

“I didn’t realize then that I’d simply been netted, separated from the other students,” she wrote. “I was 20 years old, with a full supply of hormones and madly in love with this compelling man.”

When he became the President, Kennedy discovered that de Vegh’s father was an economist he’d been consulting with on political affairs, and he put her “back on the shelf.”

“He had nothing against me, but he realized it could really be a problem, because a lot of people knew my dad, but he couldn’t just drop me, so we had to kind of dwindle,” she explained. “I didn’t realize quite what was going on, but then things shifted radically.”

De Vegh ran off to Paris after the affair ended, and the next year he was assassinated. She doesn’t regret the affair “because in the long run it taught me something I needed to know,” but did come forward because she thinks too many young women still fawn over older men instead of respecting themselves.

“The whole idea of conferred specialness — ‘You go to bed with me, I’ll make you special’ — we’ve seen a lot of that with Harvey Weinstein, Roger Ailes, show business,” she said.

Retired

YouTuber Jake Paul won his 8-round bout against UFC fighter Tryon Woodley in a split decision Sunday, the next day, he retired from boxing.

The 24-year has a 4-0 professional fighting record and had teased a future fight with former UFC champion Conor McGregor after his victory against Woodley, so it’s unclear if his retirement declaration is legitimate, or a publicity stunt.
