Former President Donald Trump urged Spotify host Joe Rogan to “stop apologizing” to liberals despite mounting scandals surrounding his podcast.
“Joe Rogan is an interesting and popular guy, but he’s got to stop apologizing to the Fake News and Radical Left maniacs and lunatics,” he said in a statement on Monday.
“How many ways can you say you’re sorry?” Trump questioned. “Joe, just go about what you do so well and don’t let them make you look weak and frightened. That’s not you and it never will be!”
His remarks come after Rogan was forced to apologize a second time, after singer India Arie explained that his use of the N-Word on the podcast was the reason she was removing her music from the platform.
Arie posted a supercut of Rogan using the slur in an Instagram video and Spotify responded by removing more than 100 episodes of the podcast, but the platform’s CEO maintained that they wouldn’t cancel his show.
“There’s been a lot of s*** from the old episodes of the podcast that I wish I hadn’t said, or had said differently. This is my take on the worst of it,” Rogan captioned another apology video over the weekend.
“I never used it to be racist, because I’m not racist,” he said in the video. “But whenever you’re in a situation where you have to say, ‘I’m not racist,’ you f—ed up. And I clearly have f—ed up.”
“And that’s my intention to express myself in this video, to say there’s nothing I can do to take that back,” Rogan continued. “I wish I could; obviously, that’s not possible. I do hope that, if anything, this can be a teachable moment.”
Earlier on Monday, Donald Trump Jr. posted a graphic that contrasted Rogan’s “independent” podcast to CNN’s “compromised” primetime, noting that his 11 million viewers dwarfed CNN’s sub-million ratings.
“If they can cancel [Rogan] they can cancel anyone… and that’s always been the point. You must all submit and obey,” he wrote.
“If you think the Leftist overlords trying to cancel Joe has anything to do with racism you haven’t been watching… when that inevitably fails they’ll probably go to old standby Russia Collusion.”
Trump Jr. encouraged his followers to stand with Rogan before the left comes for them when they speak out of turn.
