In a recent interview with Page Six, Chris Pratt’s remarks have caused controversy. The interview took place after the release of his latest movie, “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3,” during which Page Six inquired about the negative attention Pratt has received online. Pratt’s responses inadvertently fueled his detractors, resulting in backlash.

During the interview, Pratt stated:

“If I was of this world, they would love me just like that but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world. That’s John 15:18 through 20. That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him, too.” He continued on to say that his method for putting up with criticism, especially from those online, is to ignore it!

These latest comments have not been the first he has made on his faith and how his faith has guided his career. Though they have been received by his online critics just the same. Many responded to Pratt alleging that Pratt had compared himself to Jesus, or even that Pratt called himself Jesus.

“When it comes to rejection, I was trained in the crucible of door-to-door sales some 25 years ago…So, you can’t turn me away, there’s no stopping us.”
