Here’s What Bill Clinton Really Ate in the White House

Bill Clinton left his cheeseburger cravings to the experts at McDonald’s during his time as commander-in-chief.

Former White House chef John Moeller insists the kitchen never whipped up the fatty patties Clinton famously had a penchant for during his presidency, before going vegan after his 2010 heart surgery.

“We did not make cheeseburgers, ever — we’d have a picnic on the south grounds once in a while, but that’s about it,” Moeller told Page Six at a party celebrating the limited “Presidential Palates” menu at Delmonico’s, which he co-created.

Chicken enchiladas, salmon, snapper and a “pretty healthy” version of chicken pot pie were often on the menu for the Clinton family. But if Moeller were to cook for Hillary Clinton as president, the first dish he’d make would be lamb: “They love rack of lamb.”
