President Trump’s son, Eric, is being trolled on Twitter for saying nepotism is a “beautiful thing” in an interview with The Telegraph. In the feature that ran Monday, he also suggested that his sister, Ivanka, influenced the decision to launch recent airstrikes against Syria.
“Hey Eric Trump if Ivanka gets upset about a crumbling public school system will your dad do something about that, too?,” reads one tweet.
“[President Trump] knows I care about the family. He knows I care about the brand. He knows I deeply care about the properties, our amazing teams. And he knows I’m going to do everything I can humanly possible to take care of that,” Eric Trump told the British paper. “Is that nepotism? Absolutely. Is that also a beautiful thing? Absolutely.”
Eric argued that a relative would be more likely to tell the president “no disrespect but you might want to think about this” or “maybe you crossed the line here” than a typical adviser.
@DoyleGlobal Of course it’s a beautiful thing to Eric Trump, he’s not qualified to do anything. If daddy didn’t give him a job he’d be unemployed.

Eric Trump says Donald decided to bomb Syria and kill civilians because Ivanka asked. No matter your views on the strike, that’s outrageous.

Eric Trump said the #SyriaStrikes were because Ivanka was heartbroken… If Daddy’s little girl wants bombs, Daddy’s little girl gets bombs!

I get the feeling Eric Trump spends a lot of time looking through cracked-open doorways.
