Monica Lewinsky Says She’s Patient Zero Of Public Shaming, Joy Behr Says Hillary Clinton Was The Real Victim

Former White House intern and mistress of former democratic president Bill Clinton, says her reputation was destroyed by the internet in an upcoming documentary.

Imagine waking up with the whole world talking about you because your mistake, your secret, has now been made public. Trust me: I know a little something about this. I was Patient Zero of having a reputation destroyed because of the internet — and I would not be the last,” the 48-year-old said in a trailer for the documentary, “15 Minutes of Shame.”

Lewinsky says that though she was publicly dragged for years after the affair with Clinton, she told the hosts of the “Today” show that her work as an activist has led her to be happy.

“It’s not just people in power who have voices. That’s one of the beauties and the beasts of social media,” Lewinsky remarked. “More people can be heard.”

“We’re living in a culture and world now where we’re drowning in shame. We’re taking a 360 look at this culture of public shaming, public humiliation culture, and trying to ask the question, ‘Where are we going?’” She said about the documentary.

“I think the takeaway of anyone watching this who is struggling or feels like they’ve been shamed is that you can get through it.”

“The View” co-host Joy Behar doesn’t believe Lewinsky, or his other accusers, Juanita Broaddrick, Paula Jones and Kathleen Willey, who former President Donald Trump trotted out a a 2016 presidential event, to be “so-called victims.”

“I would submit here that the real victim was the United States of America and Hillary Clinton,” Behar said on Wednesday’s show. “If you remember, when the debate was going on between Trump and Hillary, Trump brought in all these so-called victims of Clinton’s peccadillos.”

“When he brought those women into that debate, that hurt Hillary Clinton and that is the real victim. The country lost a great person – Hillary Clinton could have been the president instead of that criminal we had for four years,” she continued. “That’s the real victim.”
