Richard Sherman is used to battling people on the football field as cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks, but what you may not know about him is that he’s also ready to battle the Dark Lord anytime, anywhere. During a press conference at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Washington on Wednesday, Richard hilariously dressed up as Harry Potter before taking the stage to answer questions about the team’s recent game. After walking up to the podium while playing the Harry Potter theme song on his phone, he showed off his Gryffindor robes and flung his wand around.
“When you’re a wizard, like we are out here, sometimes you have to show it to the muggles out in the world,” he told one reporter. “We’ve got a lot of wizards. My son’s a wizard. Earl Thomas does some magical things. Michael Bennett is Black Santa, but he’s also a wizard.” Richard also said that he recently visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (“it felt like home”) and confirmed that football doesn’t even compare to the hardships he faces on the Quidditch field. Well, now we have a new favorite person.
