Celebrities are now putting on a good face and claim they “will survive” the presidency of Donald Trump.
On Thursday, a video by W magazine was released featuring such big-name Hollywood performers as Amy Adams, Matthew McConaughey, Emma Stone, Chris Pine, Taraji P. Henson and others singing the lyrics to Gloria Gaynor’s 1979 hit “I Will Survive,” just days before the president-elect is sworn into office.
Along with the video an article from the magazine, according to The Hill, said that the song is now “an anthem” about the Trump presidency.
“While the song has long been interpreted through a socially conscious lens, it’s the kind of anthem we need now more than ever with the inauguration bearing down on us,” the article read. “With an impending Donald Trump presidency, I will survive.”
