People are Flooding Trump’s Immigration Hotline—But it’s Not What You Think

One of Donald Trump’s most racist moves was the creation of the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement Office, or VOICE.

In case you missed it in the deluge of executive orders during his first couple weeks in office, this is the one that establishes a Department of Homeland Security office specifically to deal with all the crimes committed by immigrants.

Never mind the fact that we already have police and FBI to deal with crime and NHS to deal with illegal immigration. No, this office exists solely to send the message that “immigrants = scary.”

And while over 80% of the executive branch jobs POTUS is supposed to nominate remain unfilled, and the government is on the verge of shutting down, this damn thing was actually established on Wednesday, complete with a hotline for tips about “crimes committed by removable criminal aliens.”
