‘Barstool Sports’ founder Dave Portnoy ripped Nantucket’s N Magazine for its decision to apologize to its readers for running a cover story on him.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy slammed the “spineless” heads of Nantucket’s N Magazine for apologizing to readers for running a cover story on him.
Portnoy, known for his unfiltered opinions and his brash attitude, hit the magazine’s publisher and editor along with his critics in a statement to Page Six on Tuesday. The celebrity businessman owns a $2 million home in Nantucket, a ritzy New England enclave, and the focus of the cover article was on his charity work to help struggling small businesses survive lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s unfortunate that the powers that be at N Magazine are spineless jellyfish who are held hostage by the whims of the vocal minority,” Portnoy told Page Six. “Meanwhile, I will continue to do my best to make Nantucket and America a better place while those who hate me can continue to throw cry parties for themselves about how I made a joke they didn’t like 20 years ago.”
Portnoy followed up his Tuesday statement with a tweet on Wednesday hitting the publishers of N Magazine as “gutless.”

It seems that the culture of cancellation simply knows no bounds, and even now affects things as remote as local magazines. When will the madness end?

Oh, I like this man for his honest boldness. The left can rot in hell.
People who hold onto a “hurt” that didn’t really hurt them till 20 years later are either slow thinkers or feelers, or they’re gluttons for punishment and just enjoy it. They deserve to be forgotten forever more.

I guess I am missing something here. What did this man do to draw the ire of the cancel culture? All it said was that he made a comment 20 years ago. This article could have given us more info. This man does charity work, so what in the world did this man do?
