Howard Stern Warns Matthew McConaughey and The Rock Against Running for Office

Aging Shock Jock Howard Stern warned celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson against trying to run for office.

Stern claimed that once these celebrities transition into official candidates they will be forced to give their real opinion on hot-button political issues and cause their popularity to suffer.

As Fox News reports:

The two actors have emerged as potentially viable political candidates thanks to public teases that they’ll get into the political arena. Some in the state believe McConaughey could beat incumbent Texas Governor Greg Abbott and he has publicly toyed with the idea of throwing his hat into the race. Johnson, meanwhile, has been vocal about potentially starting a campaign for president and even made it a plot point on his NBC sitcom “Young Rock.”

The host used The Rock as an example of a person who is “a lovely guy” who is “the most non-controversial human being.” However, he noted that voters care about issues that have such a strong dichotomy and political divide that even Johnson’s charisma won’t be able to help him avoid discussing.

“People in the military assume The Rock is pro-military,” Stern said. “People in the police force believe The Rock is a law and order guy. People who are Trumpy believe The Rock really secretly loves Trump. The people who are liberals are going ‘You know what? The Rock is with us.’”

Stern noted that as soon as Johnson is forced to take a stand on an issue like abortion, “Oops! Suddenly people don’t like The Rock.”

Greek word for actor is hypocrite. They’ve been making a living pretending they are smart, brave and smart on screen that they now believe the lie.

Exactly. Have you ever watched one of these morons being interviewed without their lines? They can’t compose a coherent sentence.

Both of them are great at making movies! Lets keep it that way before you ruin your image. Besides, according to co-stars Matt will have to use more deodorant.

It’ll work for Jenner as she just shoots out there what she stands for. Matt and Rock are nice guys, in the movies, but, movie persona is not real life. Although I do think that they are both decent people, they are elitists that believe they know what is best for you. Power hungry goes right along with being all holier than thou. Don’t vote for these personas. do your research and vote the best way you can

I couldn’t agree more. Plus, Matthew from Texas is married to a uber liberal Brazilian. Does anyone want to convince me that he’s a Republican much less a Conservative. Matthew, just go away please, and enjoy your privileged life.

Whoever “likes” and “trusts” Howard Stern has issues….more so than Stern himself.

As for Johnson and McConaughey – let them stand for what they believe in, tell the truth and as long as they stay that way, people will trust and vote for them, whatever they believe. They may not win, but, telling what you stand for and proving it is huge. That is why President Trump’s support kept growing. He said what he meant and did what he said, like it or not. May not have been 100% good guy, but much straighter than many….

Yes Howard, If you run for political office you must state what your politics are. Duh.

We all know that is true. It is VERY different to play a part, than to BE that part.

Really folks, REMEMBER, THEY ARE ACTORS! Their true self will NOT be revealed until/if they are elected. Then folks who voted for them will have buyers remorse like they now have for voting in the current administration.

Listen up you stupid celebrities. Don’t run for office. We will NOT be voting for you. You are ALL basically a group of uneducated, lucky privileged a—holes that none of us care about. Memorize your lines, STFUP and vote if you must.
Otherwise, stick to memorizing your lines and live your alternative life. Go away already! Yes, that even means you
Matthew something or other in Austin, Texas.

Right on, Howard! You speak the truth. Time for people to remember that these two are “actors”! Their job is to make you believe they are WHO THEY ARE NOT!
Rock &Matt, don’t quit your day job!!

The “Rock” and Matt are such bad actors that maybe politics is their future, of course a good movie hasn’t been made in the last 30 years.
