Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Charged with 20 Counts of Sexual Assault

Porn star Ron Jeremy was charged with 20 counts of sexual abuse that included forcible rape and assault on a minor on Monday.

Jeremy, 67, is currently being held on $6.6 million bail in a Los Angeles jail after pleading not guilty in June for allegedly raping three women and sexually assaulting another. 

After Monday’s arraignment, he faces 20 new charges of forcible rape and oral copulation, sexual battery by restraint, forcible penetration by a foreign object, assault with intent to commit rape, sodomy, and sexually lewd conduct with a minor.  

The assaults date back to 2004, and the 17 victim’s ages ranging from 15 to 54. In the most recent event, Jeremy allegedly sexually assaulted a 21-year-old on New Year’s Day in Hollywood. As many as seven events happened in or outside the same West Hollywood watering hole.  

Allegations against the forty-plus year veteran of the porn industry came out in a 2017 investigation by Rolling Stone.  Many victims claimed Jeremy’s behavior went unchecked because the women were often adult performers and their sexual history prevented them from coming forward.  

Many of the women claim to have been fondled and digitally penetrated without their consent.  

Jeremy denies the allegations, but readily admits that groping is part of his brand. “I am a groper, and by groper, I mean I get paid to show up to these shows, events, and photo shoots and touch the people and they touch me.” 

In a statement Jeremy asserted: “I have never raped anyone.“

He faces up to 250 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
