Fox News “Outnumbered” hosts blasted Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo for his hot take that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was a “gift” to President Biden’s clean energy agenda.
Ruffalo appeared on MSNBC Reports to discuss how climate change warriors could effectively combat “dark money groups” opposed to developing clean energy resources.
“Yeah, there is the dark money and that’s definitively an issue, but when you look at how quickly we are actually moving on this transition, when you look at how many jobs it’s created; it doesn’t matter what the [opposers] say or do,” he remarked.
“At the end of the day, we are going to win and we are going to transition over,” he continued. “Are we going to do it in a graceful way or are we gonna do it … kicking and screaming?”
Ruffalo then made the controversial statement that war in Ukraine was “a gift” to Biden.
“This is a moment for President Biden to take this, our momentum, people’s fear, their disgust of the war, their disgust with energy prices and–and use that to solidify a message to the American people that now is the time to transition,” the Hulk portrayer stated.
“This is where the jobs are, this is where national security is, and we’re going to keep pushing him to do it and this is a gift to the president as we see it and we see him accepting it in such terms,” Ruffalo concluded.
“Outnumbered” co-host Harris Faulkner panned the “environmental justice warrior” for calling the invasion that “has resulted in the thousands of deaths and unspeakable war crimes” a gift.
“See, I have no doubt why people hate Hollywood,” Faulkner reacted first. “That is it right there, just do your job, just play your role! Whatever it is.”
“War is not something to be used. War is not something that is a gift, this is something you learn when you are five or maybe ten and it is elementary,” added former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. “How disgusting that the climate agenda means so much to this man that he is delusional to the point of not having the empathy.”
