Despite Rihanna’s former abortion stances, the new mother and soon-to-be mother of two has stayed silent on the polarizing abortion debate in recent years. Many have speculated that since having a baby boy, with rapper A$AP Rocky last May, her stances on abortion may have softened, as she appears to be thrilled with motherhood.

Rihanna also confirmed following her Super Bowl LVII performance she is once again pregnant, amid speculation that a baby bump was visible during her halftime performance.
Throughout the past, Rihanna has gone after Republicans for their stances on abortion in Alabama in 2019, after passing pro-life legislation, the “Human Life Protection Act,” with outlawed the majority of elective abortions in the state. Rihanna’s nonprofit organization, The Clara Lionel Foundation, founded in 2012, also has worked with International Planned Parenthood Federation.
After having her first child last May, Rihanna has stayed quiet on abortion, and also has stayed quiet on most political debates. Rihanna is long-time friends with the controversial Kanye West, and is dating A$AP Rocky, whom at the time President Donald Trump advocated for following his arrest in Sweden. With her long-time friend as well as her longtime boyfriend having had their friendly run-ins with Trump and other Republicans, it’s possible that Rihanna’s opinions may have shifted.
